Objectives

  • Raise the profile of Attendant Care in NSW
  • Represent Attendant Care Service Providers operating in NSW
  • Advocate for the delivery of quality Attendant Care for the benefit of people with disabilities and complex and long-term care needs
  • Identify, support, promote and advise on best practice in Attendant Care
  • Advance knowledge, skills and competencies of Attendant Care Service Providers through the facilitation of opportunities for education and training
  • Enhance professionalism of Attendant Care Service Providers through the provision of opportunities for information exchange and networking
  • Advocate for the development and implementation of appropriate legislation, policies, research, standards and practice relevant to Attendant Care at federal, state and local levels
  • Encourage inter-sectoral and multi-disciplinary exchange of ideas and approaches between Attendant Care Service Providers and stakeholders such as industry experts, policy makers and researchers from the wider health & community care sector.
