Resources relevant to attendant care providers

The NSW Lifetime Care and Support Authority and the NSW Motor Accident Authority have developed a number of resources to assist with care of persons with a spinal cord injuries.

Of particular interest to Attendant Care Providers are "Guidelines for Levels of Attendant Care for People with Spinal Cord Injury". The aim of these Guidelines is to provide assistance to those assessing the needs of people who sustain a spinal cord injury. The Guidelines are designed to be used in conjunction with an individual assessment of the person to determine the level of attendant care that is “reasonable and necessary” to meet their needs and to maintain their independence.
